Bus stop sketching

Bus connections between my home and work are less than optimal, so I regularly spend time waiting at stops. Today I spent about 15 minutes at a stop opposite the town's brewery Ceres, and made this sketch of the view. A gardner's van was parked by the sidewalk, the back full of cut branches.

Drawn with a sepia ink pen in a small Moleskine Cahier.

People I don't know

I enjoy sketching in cafés on the rare occasions where I find the time to have a cup of tea in one. Just like when I sketch on the bus, most people will not notice me drawing them, even if they're facing in my direction.

Stefano's in Stefansgade, Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

Two friends out with their babies, having a chat in Baresso, Frederiksgade, Århus.

Older sketch from this spring - mother and son having lunch on the sidewalk outside Baresso, Banegårdspladsen, Århus. This was drawn sitting inside the café, looking out through the window.

A drawing of three spoons, done in soft watercolour pencils in my sketchbook diary. The spoon image holds special connotations for me - see the so called "Spoon Theory" - and these particular three spoons furthermore represent three cultures that play an intimate role in my life.
