A lazy Sunday, recovering from a busy Saturday of cooking and entertaining. I appropriated one sofa, and R the other - watching the only 18 year old Dane Caroline Wozniacki fighting her way through a marathon final against Russian Elena Dementieva, who won the match in a tie-break in the third set.
I took some time out from watching the match to draw R. Mechanical pencil in small moleskine cahier.

Evening sketch of a reading daughter and a plate of apple-quarters. We converted about two thirds of this year's harvest into delicious raw apple juice on Saturday (see a photo-series on the process here), and there is still plenty of fruit left for after dinner snacks.
The drawing is done in my small moleskine cahier, using pencil and coloured ink pens.

We've had a busy weekend, with culinary projects and visits from friends. Tonight's sketchbook diary entry is of my friend Ernalise, looking through images on FFFFOUND!

These two have been sitting on my kitchen counter for the past week, tempting me to draw them, and today I made an attempt using coloured ink pens in my large Moleskine sketchbook. The result is quite a bit more compact and colourful than I anticipated, but I kind of like it anyway.

Reading to Ingrid before dinner - I caught at the chance of doing a quick drawing while they were occupied by the book, adding another entry to my much neglected second sketchbook-diary.

Out gift shopping for R today. The resulting exhaustion was treated with tea at the Baresso café opposite Århus central station.
