I just realised that it has been over a month since I posted here. Life has been busy and I've been running to keep up. And suddenly I realise I've forgotten to take breaks - to slow down and look around - for much too long.

I've done only two sketches in my little pocket sketchbook since I last posted here. Being too busy to take just one 20 or 30 minute break to sketch during a whole day is bad housekeeping. And keeping it up for over a month is just asking for trouble.

The regular breaks are really important. To relax, take stock of myself and my surroundings. To take a deep breath, open up and drink in the life around me.

Do a bit of meditation with pen to paper, and feed on the source of energy that sketching opens up inside.

Thanks for following and reminding me of the time - I'll need to work on better housekeeping during October!
