Saturday sketch-date in town

A little something to get me going after a long period of no daily drawings.

We started with a pot of tea at the Women's Museum behind the cathedral, then moved on to Altura coffee bar and roasters.

Today is another day of grey skies and drizzle. After a birthday brunch for my dad the plans for the rest of the day consist of sofa surfing with newspaper, PS3 controller, or sketchbook of your choice...

Life and death in the garden

A juvenile blackbird lying in the garden path today, inspired me to break open a new pocket sketchbook:

Computer woes

I gave up on doing the EDiM challenge after all, since my computer definitively stopped working last week. No computer = no scanner = no online art.

Right now I am in the process of re-installing everything. Amazing how much stuff there is to install, update, etc. One of the first things I set up was the scanner. I don't have any image editing software installed yet, but here is the scan of a quick sketch I did last night:

Every day in May

I've decided to have a go at the "every day in May" challenge this year. You can read more about it in this flyer, and share drawings in the group's pool on Flickr.

The first challenge on the list is "a bar of soap", so that's what I drew last night.
